I have developed curricula for and taught fourth-year courses in several subfields of linguistics, including:
- field methods in linguistics, featuring Kazakh [kaz], Kinyarwanda [kin], Lao [lao], and other languages
- cognitive linguistics
- a survey of functional and formal approaches to syntax (LING 4345 Syntax syllabus 2023)
I have helped develop curricula for many lower-division courses, and have recently reworked these two to incorporate insights from Writing in the Disciplines (WID) research:
- typology (World Languages: LING 2350 syllabus FALL 2023)
- linguistic anthropology (Language, Culture & Society: LING 1310 syllabus summer 2017)
I extend my thanks to Jen Talbot for her many insights.
I have also taught the following English as a Second Language courses:
- Academic Writing, Level 5
- Academic Grammar, Level 4
